Jamie Cartner has been entertaining and delighting audiences across the Central Coast NSW, Sydney, Newcastle, and Hunter regions for over 20 years. Before this, he spent a decade in the professional conference and training industry nationally, where he oversaw and managed conferences and workshops from concept to delivery.

Jamie is a man of many talents and bundles of experience. Offering many services through his business Vocal Events, which in 2000, he set up and manages, with his wife Stephanie.

Vocal Events offers a variety of different entertainment packages perfect for both corporate and family events.

Jamie is a Commonwealth authorised marriage celebrant, a professional MC & DJ, a compere, and a family entertainer. He also appears, as his alter ego, Jammus the Mad Magician who also has the skill of twisting detailed balloon creations. He is a talented entertainer with an amazing ability to engage with audiences and your guests. He has a very interactive, family-friendly style and can add a touch of humour at the right moment. He has been described by past clients as highly professional, energetic, respectful, friendly, warm, and caring.

Stephanie has a background in early childcare and hospitality management. She takes care of the behind-the-scenes side of Vocal Events and has the skill for face painting. She has a very patient, accommodating, and gentle approach. She paints from babies to young-at-heart adults and has featured at many events. She assists Jamie wherever needed at events.

Jamie and Stephanie have chosen Camp Breakaway at San Remo, as a charity to support. They have been involved with Camp Breakaway since 2004 by bringing various shows and entertainment to the camps to entertain their campers, that being fun discos, interactive science shows, and crazy magic shows. In May of 2021, Jamie hosted a ‘Through the Decades’ Trivia Fundraising Night, where he will be forever known as “the host that changed his costumes”.
